LCHBA Application for Membership
9A. Policy for Builder and Trade Contractor Member Applicants
The LCHBA membership application contains areas for information on licensing and insurance. All builders and trade contractor applicants shall use this space to provide their New Mexico license numbers and acknowledgment that they have general liability and workers compensation insurance.
All member applications, in accordance with LCHBA Bylaws Article III, Section 1, are subject to approval by the Board of Directors. This applies to both new members and renewals. A simple majority vote of the board members in attendance at a regular board meeting is sufficient to approve new and existing members. A record of this vote shall be recorded in the minutes of the board meeting. During the renewal process, Builder members shall verify their New Mexico license numbers and proof of general liability and workers’ compensation insurance.

New members shall have provisional membership status until this requirement is met. If this requirement is not met within the allotted time, a letter shall be written to the member advising them that the requirement has not been met that they may schedule a time to meet with the LCHBA staff within sixty (60) days of the date of the letter, or their membership may be terminated.
